Remember, you are visiting the far north, the last frontier. You MUST go prepared! Here is a list of supplies think about bringing when preparing for your trip:

1. Waders.
-We recommend stocking foot chest waders and wading boots.

2.Fly rod.
-Although spin rods are supplied for your use, fly rods are not. 7 weight or heavier is recommended, with 150 feet of backing with intermediate weight forward line.

3. Fishing pole
-Spin casters should be loaded with 14 to 17 lb. test line.

4. Your favorite flies, lures and fishing gear.

5. Polarized sunglasses, regular glasses

6. Baseball cap or water proof hat

7. Fishing license

8. gloves Fingerless or waterproof gloves

9. fillet knife or your favorite knife

10. needle nose pliers

 

This is a list of personal supplies that we can not supply but you may find very useful.

1. Good quality rain jacket.

2. Fleece pullover

3.Polypropelene underwear or similar

4. Thin poly/silk socks

5.Thick poly/wool hiking socks

6. Sun Block

7. Insect repellant, head net

8. waterproof Day pack or dry bag

9. Personal medications

10. Camera in waterproof bag

11. Lens cleaner

12. Binoculars

13. Pocket knife

14. Gum, cigarettes, cigars

 

Your guides' supplies:

1. ATV's

2. Lunches (includes: sandwich, fruit, candy bar, soda, chips, cookies)

3. Drinking water, ice & coolers

4. Tackle, fishing gear, personal supplies requested by the client.

5. Custom fish cleaning (processing is an additional fee)

6. First aid kit

 

Planning You Trip

On Kodiak Island, it can be 70 degrees and sunny, or 38 degrees and cloudy. It can rain at any time. Your health and safety are are number one concern, and having a good time a very close second. If you have allergies, special diets or medications, medical condition, or anything that might help your guide to be aware of, tell us or ask about special needs of any kind. Your guide may be able to make adjustments or changes to your adventure that will make your trip more enjoyable and/or safer. If you are curious or concerned about anything, please ask!

Always Go Prepared!

When traveling into the wilderness, you must go prepared. Trips normally last Your Guide will do his best to accommodate you with the things you may or may not have that are necessary for a good trip such as fishing gear or personal items. However, please don't wait until you arrive to tell us about them! We always do our best to make sure everyone is properly outfitted, but this is only possible if we know ahead of time. We care about your return business, so help us make your trip the best it can possibly be.

One final note; Please be flexible with your expectations. Nature is wild and unpredictable and some days our best guides bag of tricks don't work. There are always fish around, but we can't always make them bite!
